Connecting People & Companies

Social, cultural and professional integration of migrants

CPC, Connecting People & Companies is a social innovation initiative that promotes the inclusion of migrant people in the Algarve region, combining practical training, specialised support and links to employment and the community.

A people-centred model, built on proximity, respect and a focus on individual autonomy.

Starting point: the challenge of migrant integration

The integration of migrants in Portugal is a growing challenge and requires humane, coordinated and accessible responses.

  • 800,000 migrants live in Portugal (7.5% of the population).
  • 1 in 3 live at risk of poverty.
  • Many face it:
    • barriers linguistic and cultural,
    • difficulties in access to housing and employment,
    • complex bureaucratic processes,
    • fragility of support networks

What is CPC - Connecting People & Companies?

A new era for inclusion

The CPC is a Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Initiative (IIES) developed by CIBEA and OFG's PRATICUS, which works on the social and professional integration of migrants in the Algarve. The approach combines training, human accompaniment and digital resources, guaranteeing structured support from reception to active participation in the community.

Training and cultural preparation

Practical content on culture, systems, rights and duties in Portugal, in simple and accessible language.

Personalised support

Legal, psychological and social support, with responses tailored to each person's needs.

Socio-professional and community integration

Links to job opportunities, training, companies and community initiatives, promoting belonging and active participation.

What are we going to achieve?

  • Create and implement a digital platform to support integration;
  • Developing individual development plans for at least 100 migrants;
  • Ensure psychological, legal and social support;
  • Train beneficiaries in cultural, social and digital competences;
  • Create a network of 20 partner companies with inclusion practices;
  • Evaluate and publicise results through measurable impact indicators.
