The new Dr Agostinho Neto International Airport in Luanda will start operating passenger flights from 13 October 2024. This project, announced during the \"Doing Business Angola 2024<\/strong>\" in Lisbon represents a significant change for air traffic in Angola, offering modern infrastructure and improved access. The Importance of Luanda's New International Airport<\/strong><\/h4>

With a traffic volume expected to be five times greater than the current 4 de Fevereiro Airport, the new airport is located 40 kilometres south-east of Luanda, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo. This new airport is essential for companies wishing to expand their operations in southern Africa, providing a modern platform for passenger and cargo transport.<\/p>

Modern Infrastructure and Easy Access<\/strong><\/h4>

The airport will have 27 taxiways, a length of almost 29 km and 13 remote aircraft parking platforms. The project also included significant improvements to Deolinda Rodrigues and Fidel Castro avenues, as well as the construction of a direct railway line between the new airport and Bungo station, facilitating access and reducing possible logistical constraints.<\/p>
